Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado

Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado gives you perspective on the reality of life–how each choice we make between life and death will dictate whether we will outlive our life or simply be forgotten. Through various anecdotes and easy-to-read commentary, Lucado shares different examples of people who have left a legacy and how we can also apply those principles to positively impact those around us.

I’ve tried reading Lucado’s other book, As God Came Near and it was hard for me to keep going after the first chapter, but I was pleasantly surprised with Outlive Your Life. It was much more easy to follow and direct. I even cried while reading one of the anecdotes…the one about the wounded little girl…it really showed me the significance of a few seconds–each second is so precious…it can completely alter the course of one’s life.

At first, I was a little apprehensive about starting the book because it looks thick, once I looked through, it was fine because the font size is pretty big and the margins are wide. So the book goes by pretty quickly and leaves you in a great mood after reading.

If you want something that will help you embrace each moment, I’d definitely recommend this book!
